PLASTINDIA FOUNDATION is the Apex body of major Associations, Organizations, and Institutions connected with Plastics, with an objective to promote the development of Plastics Industry and to assist the growth of Plastics, its related materials and their products. Professor Dwarkanath Dattatraya Kale is a Chemical Engineer. He obtained his Ph. D. from University of Salford, UK.
He is born in 1945. He has a teaching experience over last 40 years. He worked at the Department of Chemical Technology of University of Mumbai, (UDCT) as a Reader in Chemical Engineering and then from 1991 till 2005, he was a Professor of Polymer Engineering and HOD of Polymer and Paints Technology Division.
He has been a Visiting Professor in South Korea. After superannuation in 2005, he has worked with Reliance Industries Ltd. for three years. He was a Director of Shroff Rotary Institute of Chemical Technology in Ankaleshwar for a year.
His research interests are in polymer processing, rheology and recycling. He has guided 28 Ph. D. and 65 Masters Students. He has published 100 papers in peer reviewed journals. He has one patent to his credit. He has presented papers in many International conferences.
At present he is a consultant to Plastic industry. He is a member of expert committee to review the centres of Excellence set up by DCPC, Government of India.
